How to Prepare
The Spray Tan Process
Exfoliate
You can do some exfoliating in the shower, concentrating on dry spots such as elbows, knees, feet, etc.
You will want to SKIP any moisturizer the day of your tan. Moisturizers can act as a barrier to prevent the area form absorbing the color. You can wear makeup but it will have to be removed prior to tanning. Bring dark, loose fitting clothes with you to your appointment. The spray has a bronzer so you can see results immediately but the bronzer (cosmetic) can rub off on clothing.
Wait 8-12 Hours
It is CRUCIAL that you wait 8-12 hours before showering! Any exposure to water, sweat, rain, etc before the tan has had a chance to develop
will result in streaking. Avoid any strenuous exercise after a spray tan session to prevent sweating. We recommend scheduling your spray tanning session in the afternoon or evening to insure you “take it easy” the rest of the day. When, after 8-12 hours, you do shower, you will notice brown color in the water. This is just the cosmetic bronzer washing off. You will be left with a gorgeous even sun-kissed tan your friends will envy!
